Brian Murphy is a Vice President at Foa & Son who applies his in-depth expertise and hands-on experience to help his trade credit insurance and construction/commercial real estate clients protect their businesses.
In addition to insuring property and casualty, Brian helps numerous companies protect their accounts receivable.
Brian’s main goal is to provide his clients with peace of mind by placing them in the best position possible to protect the business they have invested their lives into building. The most rewarding part of working in his industry, for Brian, is knowing that he is genuinely helping his clients. Should a catastrophic loss occur, it is imperative that they know they will not be taking on a substantial loss if any.
Prior to working in insurance, Brian was a construction project manager. This hands-on field experience in the construction and commercial real estate sector gave him priceless insights into what actually happens on job sites and in the offices behind them, and the exposures construction companies face.
When he began working with a number of clients on trade credit, Brain discovered that most businesses in all avenues of industry are grossly underinsured when it comes to accounts receivable. This drew him to dive deeper into protecting each of his clients with a unique approach, depending on their industry vertical.
Brian holds a BA in Marketing. When he’s not providing expert advice rooted in hands-on experience and a genuine desire to help, Brian coaches basketball and volunteers with the Special Olympics.
