Karen has 40 years of experience in insurance claims and risk management on both the insurance carrier and brokerage sides of the industry. Before joining Foa & Son, she specialized in matters related to large-line liability, real estate, aviation, construction and food related accounts. She assists clients in identifying loss trends and frequency, and she has worked with loss control to implement risk-management programs and strategies, to address those issues as well as worked with clients to introduce return to work programs.
Karen’s primary responsibility at Foa & Son is managing the claims department in its handling and advocacy of all commercial and private insurance advisory claims. Her extensive experience as a senior claims adjuster and consultant for several large insurance carriers, gives her the insight to evaluate claims for proper reserving, risk-transfer opportunities, and timely closures.
Outside working hours, Karen spends quality time with her husband, enjoys gardening and rescuing dogs.
